You're speaking my language! Gang of Four, the Jam, the Clash, Elvis Costello, the early Police (before Sting got so uppity), U-2, Modern English, Pretenders, XTC, Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, Brian Eno & Robert Fripp, Talking Heads, Bowie (with Eno), Bowie (with Iggy Pop),Tom Verlaine, Graham Parker, Richard Thompson, the Gun Club, Cramps, etc, etc... I was there, dude!
It's really not so bad getting to an "advanced placement" in life when one has such great music to groove and dance to. Viva la musica!
Thank you so much for the specific complements. I never know what others think of my work until they tell me : ) Hopefully, with an honest opinion rather than glib lip-service.
I have been networking heavily with other women of late. I truly feel that it will take a dedicated "Peace Army" of BILLIONS of us to turn things around and create a peaceful future for ALL. That includes bugs, birds, plants, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and whatever other critters are imperiled by careless (and sometimes disturbingly evil) human endeavors.
Are you familiar with the music of Dougie MacLean?
"Marching Mystery" is an album I can heartily recommend for a peace loving
soul. Of course Billy Bragg is always good for rousing the rabble and redirecting thoughts to a place of consolidated co-operation.
Again, thanks ALAN! Your encouragement means a lot to me.
Your graphic images are moving. Strikes the heart.
Northern Ireland (Belfast) managed to make PEACE. It took girls and women.
YES! I knew some of them. Roisin and Robin ( a boy ) helped a lot.
Stay in touch, Brother.

Hello Alan,
I remember these terrible news from Northern Ireland. Thank God now there is peace over there. I pray that people will come to their senses here too, in the Middle East where I live (Israel) ,but I find it hard to be optimistic .
And while I am at it - I admire your art. I love your paintings. I'd buy all of them if I could (and if you'd let me)...
